Tova Hovich, JRoots Education Director
Tova, the founder of JRoots, is a passionate educator with over 20 years of classroom and educational management experience. Tova is a proven professional in the field of material development and curriculum writing. She oversees all aspects of school operation, focusing on school planning, staff recruitment, training and quality control of program implementation. Tova’s creativity and devotion drive JRoots to new heights each year.

Natalie is the JRoots Administrative Coordinator. She oversees student recruitment, registration, admission and customer service .With a background in education and a seasoned JRoots teacher, Natalie is passionate about Jewish education and the community.

Anna Axentiev
My name is Anna Axentiev and I am the Youth Coordinator and Programming Assistant at J. Academy Camp! In previous years I used to be the counselor of the LIT and CIT groups. I enjoy the nature, exploration and science. I love the positive energy and joy people share to make every camp season an amazing experience!
Dima Galsky
My name is Dima Galsky, a York University kinesiology graduate who is passionate about fitness, health and living an active lifestyle. I enjoy challenging others to make a lasting positive change in their lives and inspiring confidence. I look forward to working with the amazing J. Academy campers and staff to create a memorable experience.
Merilin Kernitzman
My name is Merilin Kernitzman and I am a business student at the Schulich School of Business. I am so excited to be coming back for my fifth summer at camp. I started in J. Academy as a camper, then I was a CIT and now I am returning for my second summer as a councillor! I love biking, hiking, horseback riding and anything adventurous!
